When Ethan Edwards (John Wayne) returns home after fighting in the Indian Wars, he finds that his family has been massacred and his niece (Natalie Wood) kidnapped by the Comanches. Swearing vengeance, he sets out on a quest to find her and avenge his family, a journey that consumes many miles and many years. Directed by John Ford, this was one of John Wayne's personal favorites. In fact, he enjoyed this role so much, he named one of his sons Ethan in homage. The half sheet offered here is considered to be one of the best formats, with its gorgeous panoramic image of Monument Valley-- also known as "John Ford Country." There are two small tears in the right border, light smudging in the left border, and light top edge wear. This may be the cleanest copy of this rare poster we have ever offered. Rolled, Very Fine-.
