The Outlaw (United Artists, 1946). One Sheet (27" X 41").Aflame with an incredibly provocative image of star Jane Russell, posters for this controversial Howard Hughes' film are always in high demand. Made in 1941, offended Hollywood censors shelved the racy film after a delayed limited release in 1943, then pulled the picture entirely from theatres across the nation. Based on famed pinup artist Zoe Mozert's original image, this colorful poster from the film's 1946 general release truly grabs the viewer's attention with its arresting illustration. Prior to restoration, the poster had small tears in the bottom border, a misfold in the top right horizontal fold, a nick in the left border, a minor chip in the top crossfold, a sliver of paper loss and a small hole in the bottom left corner, and touchup has been applied to the folds. Very Fine- on Linen.
