    Description

The Outlaw (United Artists, 1946). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Long noted for its intensely controversial history, posters from The Outlaw, with some of the sexiest images ever connected with a mainstream Hollywood film, have always been avidly collected. This colorful one sheet, from the general release in 1946, doesn't disappoint, with its art based on famed pinup artist Zoe Mozert's original. The film was made in 1941, but due to censorship issues with Jane Russell's bosoms having too much screen time, there was only a very small release in 1943 before the film was pulled again. There are minor pinholes in the corners with a few in the background. The credits have minor smudges and there is water-based poster paint on the reverse of the poster not affecting the front at all. Above Russell's name there is a small scratch and one above the title. Fine/Very Fine.
