    Description

The Outlaw (20th Century Fox, 1941). One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A. Here it is. This is the only surviving one sheet of this style for the originally scheduled 1941 United Artists release of this wildly controversial film. The film was held up by censorship problems and not officially released until 1943, making these posters extremely hard to find. Jane Russell became one of the most well-known Hollywood actresses in the world without having been seen in a film, all to the credit of Howard Hughes' incredibly successful ad campaign. The poster has a small amount of paper loss in the upper cross fold (in Russell's forehead) and a small chip out of her chin and right eyebrow. There is a tear which runs from her nose into her lower lip. These have all been beautifully restored with near-invisible results. There was some slight paper loss on all four corners. Fine- on Linen.
