Description

The Drifter (FBO, 1929). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Tom Mix was one of the most popular Hollywood cowboys of the silent era, but the coming of sound had taken a toll on that popularity. Reviews were beginning to be mixed, and he was reaching the early years of middle age. The Drifter was the next-to-last film Mix made before he took three years off from the film industry to star in the Sells-Floto Circus tour. Touchup has been applied to folds, pinholes in the borders, a chip in the left border, a couple of small chips in the right border, pinholes in the corners, a small vertical tear in the bottom border, a misfold at the top and bottom horizontal folds, and a faint diagonal crease from the left border through Tony the Horse. Very Fine- on Linen.
