    Description

    She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (RKO, 1949). One Sheet (27" X 41").
The team of director John Ford, actor John Wayne and the location of Monument Valley (John Ford Country), made for the best Westerns in cinematic history. Add to it the "John Ford Company" of actors including Victor McLaglen, John Agar, Harry Carey Jr., and Ben Johnson and you had the makings of a legend. She Wore a Yellow Ribbon is the best of Ford's cavalry trilogy of films, and found John Wayne as a cavalry Captain on the edge of retirement, going out for one last patrol while a major Native American attack is imminent. Very light touchup has been applied to the folds, and there are unaddressed pinholes in the corners. There is a post-backing tear in the left border. Very Fine on Paper.
