Description

Action (Universal, 1921). One Sheet (27" X 41").
Only four years into his fifty-year career, John Ford directs Hoot Gibson in his first starring role. Ford's brother Francis and J. Farrell MacDonald join Gibson as his sidekicks Soda Water Manning and Mormon Peters. The three buckaroos work to help an orphan girl keep her inheritance from being stolen by a dishonest saloonkeeper. This wonderful portrait one sheet has a few chips in the borders and tears along the upper and lower horizontal folds that run through Gibson's name and hat. These issues have been addressed by professional restoration. This poster comes with a wonderful custom made black frame which the buyer may have shipped to them. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
