    Description

World War II Propaganda (Recruiting Publicity Bureau, 1944). Folded, Very Fine. Recruitment Poster (17" X 25") "For Your Country's Sake Today - For Your Own Sake Tomorrow," Steele Savage Artwork. War.
Known in large part for his stylistic illustrations in such books as Edith Hamilton's Mythology or Sir Richard Francis Burton's The Arabian Nights, artist Steele Savage demonstrates his semi-realistic prowess in this beautiful recruitment poster for World War II servicewomen. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge and fold wear, light creases, or faint toning.
