    Description

World War II Propaganda Poster (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1943). Very Fine+. Propaganda Poster (22.5" X 16") "Find Your War Job..." George Roepp Artwork. War.
This lot features a World War II propaganda poster drawn for the Office of War Information in 1943. The poster shows the head and shoulders of a woman operating machinery as part of World War II production effort. One of the major changes introduced into American society in WW 2 was the replacement of men in many walks of life who had been conscripted into the army (some 9 million by the end of the war). Their places were taken in many cases by women who entered the workforce to undertake these occupations for the first time. An unrestored poster with bright color and a clean overall appearance. It may have general signs of use, such as slight edge and fold wear, soft creases, or very minor tears.
