    Description

    World War I Propaganda (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1917). Fine+ on Linen. Liberty Loan Poster (28" X 42") "My Soldier," H. H. Green Artwork.
    To compensate for the heavy monetary costs of WWI, the US created several savings and bond programs, including the popular war savings stamps primarily targeted at women and children. Artist H. H. Green certainly hits that mark with this touching and patriotic piece, which has had professional restoration work at the poster's pinholes, a couple of small chips, and some tears from the borders into the interior. There was a diagonal tear in the middle text. Grades on all restored items are pre-restoration grades. Fine+ on Linen.
