World War I "Christy Girl" Propaganda (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1918). Rolled, Fine+. Full-Bleed Liberty Loan Poster (20" X 30") "Clear the Way!" Howard Chandler Christy Artwork. War.Artist Howard Chandler Christy depicts Columbia as one of his famous "Christy Girls" in this beautiful poster created to drive public support and participation in the U.S.'s Fourth Liberty Loan. An unrestored poster with good color and an overall very presentable appearance. It may have mild edge wear, moderate creases, corner bends, small chips, tears, faint smudges, or a few minor stains including tape stains. There is a strip of archival tape on the verso bracing a tear in the flag in the image, and there is a minute hole in the blue field of the flag.
