    Description

Listen to the Voices of the Sea (Toei Co. Ltd., 1950). Folded, Fine+. Japanese B2 (20" X 28.5"). War.
Listen to the Voices from the Sea is a 1950 Japanese anti-war film directed by Hideo Sekigawa. It is based on the 1949 best-selling book of the same name (Kike wadatsumi no koe), a collection of letters by Japanese student soldiers killed in World War II. This was the first post-war Japanese film to feature battle scenes and was a big success with domestic cinema audiences. This somber and disturbing country of origin image is a first time offer from Heritage. The poster displays slight centerpoint separation and wear as well as small red paint spots in the title and text to the left of the title. There is also a black paint spot in the lower center of the poster. There is general wear to borders and folds, but the poster has vibrant colors and is unrestored.
