    Description

    Don't Bother to Knock (20th Century Fox, 1952). Poster (40" X 60") Style Y.
Marilyn Monroe fans will go gaga over this exceptionally rare, large format poster featuring a super-sultry image of the beloved bombshell. Monroe proved to be an acting talent to contend with in this thriller set in a New York hotel room. She plays Nell Forbes, an attractive but suicidal young woman who has been recently released from a mental institution and who takes a job babysitting in a posh hotel. Although sharing similar artwork with other pieces from the film, this Style Y large format poster depicts Monroe in a shimmering emerald green number, whereas other versions have her clad in red or yellow. Professional touchup has been applied to slight edge wear, staple holes in the background, right border stains, a scratch in the bottom background and a surface abrasion to Richard Widmark's head, a top right corner bend, and small tears in the borders that extend slightly into the background with tape on the verso. This is one of only a few copies known of this incredibly rare poster so get it while you can! Rolled, Fine/Very Fine.
