DescriptionThe Wizard of Oz (MGM, 1939). Folded, Fine+. Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style B.
Offered for only the second time at Heritage is this charming and scarce half sheet for the classic family adventure, The Wizard of Oz. The half sheet features a joyous image of the Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr), Dorothy (Judy Garland), the Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), and the Tin Man (Jack Haley) along with scenes of the beloved film. This wonderful half sheet has mild edge and fold wear, small tears and fold separations, pinholes, and slight creases and corner bends. The poster also has faint scuffs and smudges along with subtle toning. In the background of the image area below Dorothy is a small amount of ink writing. On the verso is a piece of a sticker and two strips of paper tape, one of which wraps around to the front in the border.
Estimate: $20,000 - $40,000.
