    Description

    The Sea Hawk (Warner Brothers, 1940). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14").
    Errol Flynn stars as the adventurer Captain Geoffrey Thorpe who pirates loot from the Spanish armada, but without the blessing of the English Queen (Flora Robson). When Thorpe captures a vessel carrying ambassador Don Jose Alvarez de Cordoba (Claude Rains), he falls in love with the dignitary's niece Dona Maria (Brenda Marshall). The dramatic title card captures the dangerous mood of the high seas, with Flynn engaging in sword play, but also making time for a little romance. The scene cards are equally impressive, printed on Warner's linen finish stock. The cards have been cleaned, and the glossy finish has been slightly diminished. Small edge tears, corner bends, and pinholes have been corrected. A must have for Flynn fanatics! From the Theaters of Old Detroit Collection. Fine/Very Fine.
