    Description

    The Endless Summer (Personality Posters, 1966). Silk-Screen Day Glo-Poster (31.5" X 42").
It makes no matter if you've never yearned to hang ten, this classic surf safari flick will sending you daydreaming about far flung lands. Bruce Brown was a veteran surf documentary maker when he got the idea to take two friends, Michael Hynson and Robert August, on a quest for perpetual summertime and perfect waves around the globe. Along the way, they discovered things about themselves, found spectacular surf, and ended up making the best and most remembered surfing film. Offered here is the limited release version of the film's poster, with no cast, credits or tag lines, printed in 1966 by Personality Posters. The iconic surfing image was done by pop art giant John Van Hamersveld, who also did Beatles and Rolling Stones album covers. The piece has been paperbacked to address tears in the top left background and border, edge wear, a tape lift in top border, and light creasing throughout. This silk-screen version of the poster is a very scarce item and is perfect for surfies and poster aficionados alike! Fine+ on Paper.
