The Endless Summer (Personality Poster/Bruce Brown Films, 1966). Very Fine- on Linen. Silkscreen DayGlo Poster (29.5" X 40) John Van Hamersveld Artwork.
It makes no matter if you've never yearned to hang ten; this classic surf safari movie will send you daydreaming about far-flung lands. Bruce Brown was a veteran surf documentary maker when he got the idea to take two friends, Michael Hynson and Robert August, on a quest for perpetual summertime and perfect waves around the globe. Along the way, they discovered things about themselves, found spectacular surf, and ended up making the best and most remembered surfing film. The limited release version of the film's poster is offered, with no cast, credits or tag lines, printed in 1966 by Personality Posters. The iconic surfing image was done by pop art giant John Van Hamersveld, who also did Beatles and Rolling Stones album covers. The piece has been linen backed to address small chips from three corners and paper lift from the verso under the Bruce Brown line in the lower right.
