Patterson vs. Liston (Allied Artists, 1962). One Sheet (27" X 41").
It was September 25, 1962 when Floyd Patterson and Sonny Liston stepped into the ring for a heavyweight championship bout. But in one round, it was all over. Patterson was sent crashing to the floor, the punching bag for Liston's devastating blows. This poster promises the "round-by-round" action that was rapidly diminished to one round action. There is writing in the upper border denoting the theatre it was used at and the playdates-- approximately a week after the actual event. There are some holes in the upper border and tape stains as well and there is another hole in the "P" of Patterson's name. The poster also has some light stains and smudging in the borders. Fine-.
