The Green Hornet (Universal, 1940). Lobby Card Set of 8 (11" X 14"). Chapter 5 -- "The Time Bomb."It's rare that a full set of lobby cards is found from the first screen appearance of The Green Hornet. Gordon Jones, usually a comedy actor, plays it straight as Britt Reid, aka The Green Hornet, in this initial film serial version, based on the famous radio show. Keye Luke is Kato and Anne Nagel is Miss Case, Jones' secretary. Paper for this exciting serial is quite scarce! Both title cards and the other six scene cards have some pinholes, general handling and corner wear as well as some slight staining in the borders of a couple of the cards. One of the cards has a tear from the lower border into the lower left third of the card and has been supported with some cellophane tape on the front side. Fine+.
