A Dangerous Adventure (Warner Brothers, 1922). Title Lobby Card and Lobby Cards (3) (11' X 14").
Sam Warner would only direct one film...this one, a damsel-in-distress, 15 chapter serial. His older brother, Jack, would only direct two...this is one of them. Here's the quick version: the blonde star, Grace Darmond, has several niches in film history. She was in the first Technicolor film in 1917, but more importantly, perhaps, she was the female lover that Valentino's first wife, Jean Acker, ran to on her Honeymoon night, professing love to only Darmond. And in one of these cards she's staring at...not her captor (tribal priest, Ubanga (Rex de Roselli), but at WAMPAS Baby star, Derelys Perdue, (in the red sash). The nasty looks you see in the card are real. They had physical knock-down fights on the set that left both with missing chunks of hair! There are pinholes in all cards, two with border creases, one with a rust stain in the top right, and one with corner soiling. The title card has chips in the top corners, a tear in the top and bottom borders, and a lower left corner bend with tape on the verso. Fine+.
