    Description

The War of the Worlds (Paramount, 1953). Half Sheet (22" X 28"). Style B.
For sci-fi poster collectors, this gorgeous and rare style B half sheet is one of the most iconic of the genre, and the most elusive. George Pal's classic adaptation of H. G. Wells' science fiction novel is one of the most powerful films of the era. The remarkable special effects make the Martian onslaught against humanity even more harrowing. This highly desirable half sheet had pinholes in the corners, and a small chip in the top left corner, which have been addressed with professional restoration. The poster has been authenticated and graded by MP Grading and is accompanied with a certificate. Very Fine on Paper.
