    One of the biggest and most popular titles in science fiction, this iconic 50's invasion flick possesses a vast fanbase that is always on the lookout for its exceptional posters. With a political metaphor hidden in the trappings of a thrilling alien adventure, The Day the Earth Stood Still had a lasting influence on numerous future entries in the sci-fi genre, as well as a subtle impact in the minds of Cold War era audience members. The themes of peace and destruction balance against one another throughout the film in the alien emissary Klaatu and his towering bodyguard Gort, eventually offering the audience the hope of a better, safer world. No sci-fi collection could be considered complete without this iconic one sheet, which has slight fold wear and separation, creasing, pinholes, soft rippling, and light stains. The lower border has an uneven edge with a thin sliver of paper loss, and the poster shows some slight color fading.
