    Description

The Blob (Paramount, 1958). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Science Fiction.
Starring Steve McQueen, Aneta Corsaut, Earl Rowe, Olin Howland, Alden 'Stephen' Chase, John Benson, George Karas, Lee Paton, Elbert Smith, Hugh Graham, Vincent Barbi, Audrey Metcalf, Jasper Deeter, Elinor Hammer, Pamela Curran, Kieth Almoney, Robert Fields, James Bonnet, Anthony Franke. Directed by Irvin S. Yeaworth Jr. and Russell S. Doughten Jr. This low budget sci-fi is still fun to watch and will have you gulping your popcorn as the pulsing ball of protoplasm oozes down the lane. There was everything you needed in a 1950's classic - teens who actually had morals, "golly-gee" acting, and everyone screaming and running around. Oh yes, and then there was that amazingly upbeat-for-a-horror flick-title song... "Beware of the Blob! It creeps, and leaps, and glides and slides across the floor." That little diddy was written by famed lyricist Hal David and a very hip fresh young composer by the name of Burt Bacharach. There are pinholes in the corners, mild smudges in the bottom and left borders, and some wrinkling and creasing in the bottom corners. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Very Fine-.
