    Description

Quatermass II: Enemy from Space (United Artists, 1957). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. British Quad (30" X 40").
One of a small handful of copies known to exist, Heritage is proud to present this country of origin poster for the first time. Its a sequel to Quatermass Xperiment (1955) and adapted from author Nigel Kneale's BBC Television Quatermass II serial. Brian Donlevy returns as Professor Quatermass, who must contend with a "meteor shower" which turns out to be a secret alien invasion. The extraterrestrials arrive on earth in meteorite vehicles, then take over the minds and nervous systems of earthlings, the better to go about their business undetected. The rest of the main cast contributes great performances as well, featuring such British actors as Sidney James of Carry On fame, John Longden, and Bryan Forbes. Professional corrections have been applied to fold wear and separation, some creases, and small tears. There was also chipping at the edges which is now no longer visible after the borders were airbrushed during conservation. The left edge has some thin unaddressed smudges. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
