    Planet of the Apes Lunchbox & Other Lot (Aladdin Industries, 1974). Fine/Very Fine. Lunchbox (7" X 8" X 4") & Thermos (3" X 3" X 6.5". Science Fiction.
Aladdin Industries created the very first licensed character lunchbox, when they simply applied a sticker of cowboy actor "Hopalong" Cassidy to a pile of surplus metal lunchboxes. The sets were a hit, and created an entire market of character based lunchboxes for the Baby Boom Generation. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, the box industry was in its heyday when they signed a merchandising deal with EON Productions to produce this great example with characters from Planet of the Apes. Included in this lot with the Planet of the Apes lunchbox is a thermos from It's About Time (Aladdin Industries, 1967). Unrestored items that display signs of use. May include edge wear, nicks and scratches, or rusting.
