Planet of the Apes (20th Century Fox, 1968). Door Panels Set of 4 (20" X 60"). One of the greatest science fiction classics of all time, Planet of the Apes features a topsy-turvy world where simians rule and man is a mute beast. Directed by Franklin J. Schaffner (Patton, The Boys from Brazil), from a script by Rod Serling and Michael Wilson, the film is noted for its Oscar-winning ape make-up, and one of the great "gotcha" endings in film history. Offered here are the rarely-seen and highly desirable door panels, four in all, which feature Taylor (Charlton Heston), Zira (Kim Hunter), Dr. Zaius (Maurice Evans), and a gorilla soldier. Condition is spectacular, with light edge wear, and some very faint smudging in some of the fold lines being the only issue. No Apes collection is complete without these amazing panels!
