Description

Mothra (Columbia, 1962). One Sheet (27" X 41"). Science Fiction.
Japanese studio Toho mastered the dai kaiju (giant monster) genre with such films as Rodan (1956) and Varan (1958), and the wildly popular Mothra, starring a colossal caterpillar who transformed into a mammoth moth and was worshipped as a god by the inhabitants of a remote tropical island. With fiery reds and golds, this "moth to a flame" motif poster is one creepy, flesh crawling stunner, that will have collectors buzzing to bid. Only shows very minor toning and light speckles in the right border. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Folded, Very Fine.
