Metropolis (UFA, 1927). French Photoplay Book (7.25" X 9", 96 Pages).
The evil Maria is featured on the cover of this photoplay edition, backed up by the sprawling Metropolis that was the setting of Fritz Lang's masterpiece of science-fiction. The book has seventeen pages of key images (23 stunning images total) from the film, including those of Rotwang (the evil scientist) who plots the downfall of his hated rival Joh Fredersen. There is a single-side loose page with a photo of Brigitte Helm included. The cover shows edge wear and a crease at the spine, there is a pen mark over the price, and toning along the edges of the interior pages. Fine+.
