    Invasion of the Body Snatchers (Allied Artists, 1956). Poster (40" X 60").
    Fans of this fantastic 1950s sci-fi flick will be thrilled to see this piece at auction-- a rare 40" X 60" poster and a first time offer from Heritage. With similar artwork as the one sheet and three sheet, it's filled with the giant hand and hyper-hysteria that collectors love! Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter star as a doctor and his sweetheart on the run from their own friends and family -- who have been replaced by alien pod-people from outer space. Based on the novel by Jack Finney, and adapted to the screen by Daniel Mainwaring, the film explores the themes of mass paranoia and fear of the unknown. The poster is in highly presentable condition given its age and size, showing only light stains in the borders, creasing, edge wear, a scuff in the upper right background, wear in silk-screen lettering, pinholes, and tears in the top and bottom border with tape on the verso. Rolled, Fine+.
