    Description

    Wild Orchids (MGM, 1929). Window Card (14" X 22").
This rarely sold window card with a dramatic image of a young Lillie Sterling(Greta Garbo) spurning the advances of the very handsome Prince De Gace (Nils Asther), will be in high demand. Posters for this title are exceedingly scarce and hard to find, and this particular one is in fine condition. Garbo plays the wife of Lewis Stone, and on a trip to the Far East they meet Javanese Prince Asther, who invites them to his plantation. Stone, however, may have thought twice about accepting the offer if he'd know of Asther's romantic intent toward Garbo. The window card shows only light discoloration in the imprint area and bottom border that extends into the artwork, tears in the imprint area, surface paper loss at the edges, a chip in the top right corner, a gouge in the middle with tape on the verso, and rounded corners. Fine.
