    Description

    The Devil is a Woman (Paramount, 1935). Half Sheet (22" X 28") Style A.
Marlene Dietrich would team with her strongest director, Josef von Sternberg for the last time in The Devil is a Woman. Dietrich rose to fame after von Sternberg "discovered" her and cast her in the legendary film The Blue Angel. And together, they would go on to create some of the most intriguing and spectacular films of the 1930s. Here, Dietrich is Concha, a mysterious woman who lures young men in with her seductive spell, only to liberate them of their wealth and seek the funds of others. Cesar Romero and Lionel Atwill provide fantastic performances in a film that would raise controversy at the US State Department and the Spanish government, due to the depiction of the Spanish people. This half sheet, which features a stunning image of Dietrich, has pinholes in the borders, light stains in the credits, small tears in the top border, corner bends, and a small gouge in Dietrich's dress. Rolled, Fine+.
