Joan Crawford plays a young innocent lured to the Big Apple by shifty vaudevillian Gene Raymond, who them promptly dumps her for Esther Ralston. Adrift in New York City, she takes a job at a nightclub, accepts a marriage proposal from a drunken millionaire, and then must suffer abuse from his family, who considers her a gold digger. The frantic melodrama was a great showcase for Crawford's burgeoning talents, and this rare window card features absolutely gorgeous imagery of the legendary star. A Heritage first. Touchup has been applied to Joan Crawford's image and credit, as well as to the title and background. Some stains in the interior are still visible. The imprint area has been airbrushed with some post-restoration surface paper loss to the left. Fine+ on Cardstock.
