    Description

Hula (Paramount, 1927). Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style A.
Directed by Victor Fleming and starring Clara Bow in her first film after her performance in the incredibly successful Wings (1927), Hula is a light romantic comedy that features Bow in one of her many magnetic performances. She plays Hula Calhoun, the daughter of a plantation owner in Hawaii. Hula lives a free and natural life unrestricted from the confines of social norms, and Clara Bow's natural beauty shines brightly on this lovely stone litho poster, easily one of the finest posters featuring the actress. This is only the second time Heritage has offered this particular one sheet, and the first time we have offered it in over ten years. The poster has been professionally restored to address chips, most of which were in and near the borders with one chip in the image and one in the title. Prior to restoration, the poster also had edge and fold wear, extra folds, pinholes, and tears, including tears in Bow's credit. Most of these issues are no longer apparent, though there are tiny chips and tears visible in the top border. Touchup has also been applied to the "W" in "BOW" and in the white space in the title.
