    Description

Gimme Shelter (20th Century Fox, 1970). New York Premiere Poster (25.25" X 35.5"). From the collection of David Frangioni, author of Clint Eastwood: ICON & Crash: The World's Greatest Drum Kits.
A fantastic collectable for any Rolling Stones fan! This poster was used for the original Premiere run of the film at the Plaza Theatre in New York starting December 13, 1970. The documentary covered the Stones concert at Altamont Speedway outside of San Francisco; the concert that was plagued with trouble and fans high on drugs. The film itself was not without controversy either, as it depicted the murder of fan Meredith Hunter by the motorcycle club The Hell's Angels who were hired as security guards. Starring The Rolling Stones, The Jefferson Airplane, The Grateful Dead, Santana, Sonny Barger, Ike and Tina Turner. Directed by Albert Maysles, David Maysles, and Charlotte Zwerin. Touchup to edge wear and mild tears, some of which extend into the background. Very Fine on Linen.
