DescriptionOn the Jump (Fox, 1918). Fine on Linen. Three Sheet (39" X 77.75").
Prolific filmmaker Raoul Walsh directed On the Jump, a 1918 silent comedy about a journalist who sets out to expose his newspaper's new owner as a German secret agent. This beautiful stone litho three sheet, offered here at Heritage for the first time, depicts star George Walsh as he looks out over the horizon. The poster is backed on linen, and it has had some touchup applied to edge and fold wear, fold separations, tears, chips, and scuffs. The poster also has creasing as well as light smudges and stains. There are also faint remnants of writing in the background of the image to the right of Walsh. The poster may also display some light color fading.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
