The Preview Murder Mystery (Paramount, 1936). Folded, Fine. Italian 4 - Fogli (55" X 76.75") Letterio Scalia Artwork.
Offered here for the first time at Heritage is an Italian 4-fogli poster for The Preview Murder Mystery, a whodunnit about a killer loose on the set of a film. Robert Florey directed this fun mystery, and fans of film will love the quasi-behind-the-scenes aspect of the movie with shots of Paramount Studios and even director of photography Karl Struss included as part of the movie-within-a-movie format. Frances Drake and Reginald Denny can be seen on this foreboding stone litho poster created by Italian artist Letterio Scalia. This two-panel poster has slight edge and fold wear, mild creases, minute chips, moderate tears and fold separations, and light scuffs and smudges. There is some foxing mostly in the borders and title, and there are several strips of masking tape on the verso causing noticeable tape stain bleedthrough in the borders, title, and images.
