    Description

Shall We Dance (RKO, 1937). Fine on Linen. Trimmed One Sheet (26" X 40").
Oscar-nominated in the Best Original Song category for George and Ira Gershwin's "They Can't Take That Away from Me" and remembered for the spectacular dance number on roller skates, Shall We Dance marked the seventh RKO musical collaboration between Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It's considered one of the duo's best performances with such classic musical numbers as "They All Laughed" and "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off" written by the Gershwins, coupled with wonderful direction by Mark Sandrich. Heritage has only had the pleasure of offering this style one sheet with lovely portraits of Astaire and Rogers once before almost ten years ago. This rare one sheet has had professional restoration to fold wear and separations, pinholes, a few tears, and small chips. There is some writing bleedthrough still faintly visible. The borders have been partially airbrushed.
