    Description

    Flying Down to Rio (RKO, 1933). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
    Two relative unknowns (Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire) light up the screen in a dance number called "The Carioca" in this wonderful early RKO musical that actually features Delores del Rio and Gene Raymond as the leads. Fans and critics alike were so impressed with the Rogers-Astaire pairing that they were eventually reunited in nine subsequent films. The duo dance and sing, and plan a spectacular daredevil air show with hundreds of gorgeous girls, in order to save their friend's nightclub. Any item from this pre-Code film is a rarity, and offered here is a very desirable title card with gorgeous color. There is a small tear in the top left corner, surface paper loss along the left edge, and bottom left and right corner bends. Fine/Very Fine.
