DescriptionZiegfeld Follies (MGM, 1945). Fine/Very Fine on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 41") Style D, George Petty Artwork.
This stunning one sheet features some of George Petty's best pin-up girls wearing the outrageous costumes synonymous with Florence Ziegfeld's musical extravaganzas. Ziegfeld Follies took audiences by storm leading the film to win the award for Best Musical Comedy at the 1947 Cannes Film Festival. Professional restoration has addressed edge and fold wear, some fold separations, and a few pinholes. There were a couple of moderate tears at the edges and an enlarged pinhole in the top right image. There was a chip in the upper border. The top right border has some faint unaddressed writing bleedthrough. Fine/Very Fine on Linen.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
