XIV South American Championship (Uruguay Tourismo, 1942). Very Fine on Linen. Poster (20" X 28.5") James P. Bonelli Artwork.
In 1942 Uruguay held the seventeenth South American Fútbol (or soccer in the U.S.) Championship in Montevideo hosting teams from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, Chile, and Ecuador. Uruguay claimed the championship title on their home turf, however Argentina had to two highest scoring players at seven goals each. The poster has received light touchup to a small bit of surface wear in the background, and shows minute tears as well as faint unobtrusive stains in the borders. There is an official ink stamp from the National Tourism Committee of Uruguay in the top right, but this does not affect the grade. Very Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
