    Description

World War II Propaganda Lot (U.S. Government Printing Office, 1943). Very Fine+ on Paper. Posters (3) (22" X 28" & 22" X 14") Montgomery Melbourne Artwork, "Millions of Troops are on the Move...Is Your Trip Necessary?".
During World War II, the American public faced rations on many items and goods, including gasoline. In an effort to keep citizen use of gas to a minimum, the U.S. Government encouraged carpooling and limiting use of automobiles as much as possible. This lot also includes an "Attack, Attack, Attack" war bonds poster from 1942 featuring artwork by Ferdinand Warren and printed by the U.S. Government Printing Office, as well as a "Let's All Fight" war bonds poster from the same printer and year. These posters encourage the purchasing of war bonds to maintain the war effort. The posters show only pinpoint crossfold separations and a few unobtrusive stains. The "Attack, Attack, Attack" war bonds poster has a very minor chip.

    Estimate: $500 - $1,000.
