    Description

World War I Propaganda (YWCA, 1919). Fine+ on Linen. Poster (29" X 41") "For Every Fighter a Woman Worker," Adolph Triedler Artwork.
It takes an army to sustain an army, and women workers were firing on all cylinders back on the home front - arming the boys overseas with planes, trucks, tanks, and ammunition! The YWCA commissioned illustrator Adolph Triedler to craft this fantastic World War I-era morale piece, in support of the United War Work Campaign. Touchup has been applied to pinholes in the corners, slight edge wear with minor tears, and a small chip in the lower right border. There were a couple of vertical scratches in the bottom right corner, and the poster had a tear from the top border through the woman's image into her neck. Fine+ on Linen.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
