DescriptionWorld War I Propaganda (Scottish War Savings Committee, c. 1916). Folded, Fine/Very Fine. Scottish Bonds Poster (19.75" X 29.75") "The Victory Campaign."
In April of 1916, Scotland, along with England, Wales, and Ireland, appointed national war savings committees that encouraged saving campaigns in their communities through local associations. Scotland, in particular, took to creating local committees with over 800 created only in a single county, Lanarkshire, of the 33 counties within Scotland. At one point belonging to the collection of war poster enthusiast Col. Edward H. McCrahon, whose initials can be found on the verso, this poster shows mild edge wear, slight creases, small tears, and some staining on the left side of the fold. Folded, Fine/Very Fine.
Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
