World War I Propaganda by James Montgomery Flagg (National War Garden Commission, 1918). Fine on Linen. Poster (30" X 40") "The Seeds of Victory Insure the Fruits of Peace."
This beautiful poster by famed artist James Montgomery Flagg depicts the Lady Columbia representing the United States sowing seeds of victory to ensure lasting peace. Professional restoration has addressed light edge wear, mild creases, pinholes, and moderate tears, a few of which are in the image. There were also a couple of minor chips and a tear from the upper edge through Columbia's shoulder. The borders and part of the background have been airbrushed. Fine on Linen.

    Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
