    Description

    White Heat (Warner Brothers, 1949). Insert (14" X 36").
James Cagney lights up the screen as Cody Jarrett, one of cinema's meanest tough guys in this superb Raoul Walsh classic. Overly dependent on his mother, Cody loses it when he finds out she is dead while he is locked up in prison. Cagney is brilliant in the scene, and it sets the violent climax into motion, with Cody briefly making it to "the top of the world." Virginia Mayo is stunning as Cody's double-crossing wife, and Edmond O'Brien co-stars as his cellmate. Prior to touchup, this insert once showed a few creases, a couple of minor chips, and some mild tears, some of which extended into the interior. Very Fine- on Paper.

    Estimate: $600 - $1,200.
