DescriptionWhistle Stop (United Artists, 1945). Folded, Fine+. 24 Sheet (approx. 104" X 232").
George Raft, who by the late 1940s was a perfect actor for the film noir genre, was cast as the love interest for Ava Gardner in this tale of jealousy, revenge and murder. Victor McLaglen and Tom Conway co-star. This first time offer from Heritage features an incredibly rare 24 sheet poster, perhaps the only copy still in existence, printed for use as a billboard. Overall, the poster is in fine condition with bright colors, however it does show some signs of use including some minor tears and toning to the fold lines with a bit more wear to the outside folds and a few very minor chips on fold lines within the image. From the Theaters of Old Detroit collection.
Estimate: $800 - $1,600.
