    Description

Tim McCoy Pressbook Lot (Victory Pictures, 1938-1939). Pressbooks (7) (Eight Pages Each, 12" X 18"). Western.
The Victory series of 1938-1939 contained eight films resurrecting the 'Lightning Bill Carson' character that Tim McCoy had portrayed earlier at Puritan Pictures. All eight films were directed by Sam Newfield and had terrific production values. This amazing lot has original pressbooks for seven out of the eight in the series, missing only Straight Shooter. Titles included are: Lightning Carson Rides Again, Six Gun Trail, Code of the Cactus, Texas Wildcats, Outlaw's Paradise, Trigger Fingers, and Fighting Renegade. These are eight page pressbooks showing all posters, with all eight lobby cards pictured. In addition there are terrific press release back stories on the films and complete synopses. A real find for any vintage western fan as there are no cuts in any of the pressbooks. Unrestored pressbooks with bright color and a clean overall appearance. They may have general signs of use, such as slight edge wear with small tears, and light fold wear. Please see full-color, enlargeable image below for more details. Very Fine-.
