    Description

The Texas Kid (Universal, 1920). Good/Very Good on Linen. One Sheet (27" X 40.75").
Featured on this very rare one sheet is a clever portrait of cowboy star Hoot Gibson, setting the star's likeness against the story this film adapted for the screen. Gibson would use all of his acquired skills as a professional rodeo cowboy to become one of the greatest stars of early Westerns. In this short film, he co-stars alongside Mildred Moore, a frequent leading lady often paired with Gibson. Benefitting from skilled restoration, this poster once displayed edge and fold wear, fold separation, pinholes, creases, and tearing in the interior. Paper loss along the left and right borders has also been replaced, as well as paper loss in Gibson's image and the top right of the poster. There were various chips in the interior. The borders, blue background, and parts of the white background have been airbrushed. Excellent restoration has rendered the aforementioned issues virtually unnoticeable. Good/Very Good on Linen.
