The Sheriff's Baby (Biograph Studios, R-1915). Good/Very Good on Linen. One Sheet (28.5" X 42").
A first time offer at Heritage, this poster is the only known one sheet remaining from D. W. Griffith's silent Western as no one sheet from the original release has ever surfaced! Among the cast are such future stars as Lionel Barrymore, Harry Carey, Alfred Paget, and Henry B. Walthall, who would go on to take the leading role in Griffith's controversial The Birth of a Nation. Giving us a shot from the beginning of the film, this stone litho poster presents with very bright and well-preserved color. It has been skillfully restored to address fold wear and separations, tears into the interior, as well as chipping and paper loss in the borders and folds. The borders have been airbrushed and the aforementioned issues are no longer visible, making this poster a great piece for display!
