    Description

The Searchers (Warner Bros., 1956). Fine/Very Fine. Hand-Painted Cast and Crew Ceramic Coffee Mug (Diameter: 3.25", Height: 4").
John Wayne made a habit from the late 1940s forward to having produced and gifting ceramic coffee mugs to the crew members that worked on the films. Made of ceramic; the painted image on the front depicts Wayne and Jeffrey Hunter with text below reading "That'll be the day;" text on back reads "The Searchers" "Nick from Duke," the bottom is stamped "Bob Williams 222 Occidental Santa Ana, Calif." and "Wallace China Los Angeles, Calif.," gifted by Wayne to the crew members from the set of the film. The mug has wear typical with normal use, such as some surface scuffs, small stains and smudges, and the gold paint on the handle has mostly rubbed off. This is a very unique and highly collectible piece from the great American actor.
